Ian's Birthday Celebrations

It was Ians 29th birthday on the 15th March, he was celebrating his last year in his 20's and oh yes the Vodka was out!. Megan & myself bought him an IPOD & Docking station for his Birthday, he was very impressed!!!.

In the day time Ian battled on with the gardening, as we need to get it finished ASAP. I had to go to B&Q for more supplies, as we'd run out. As I walked up the drive Ian was sat on the drive digging weeds out in the drizzle, singing "Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me!", bless him!.
In the evening I had organised a surprise meal with 10 of our friends, however Ian had already found out earlier that week that I'd organised it, so that was ruined!!!. We went to Valentinos, me & Ian went earlier to have a few Peroni's before our friends came (Andrew got Ian that one from you & that sloppy kiss!). Everyone arrived, we had a few drinks, then sat down to the meal. Just as the menus came, Darkness arrived!!!!. There was a powercut!!!, We proceeded to sing at the top of our voices, "Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you etc etc", we were a bit rowdy!!!. Luckily we had already ordered a few bottles of wine, so we battled on with them!. After about half an hour, wine all gone, we decided to sack the meal & hit the Pheonix!. Needless to say we were all very merry by then!. We all piled in the Pheonix, I bought about a tenners worth of crisps, & that was Ian's Birthday meal & along with copius amounts of Vodka Bull!!!!. We were all wasted!!!

I don't organise nights out very often, the last one previous to this that I organised was a girlies night out in Leeds, woke up that morning, we'd had snow over night!!!!. This time, organised a slap up meal, powercut, ended up with walkers crips!!!!!.

However we all had alot of fun!!!!.

Well its nice to know some things never change. Good job it was a power cut and not a vodka shortage, now that would have been a disaster!!! Andy also celebrated Ians birthday doing the garden and also later in the evening we joined you for birthday drinks. We had a good party for you, its a shame you wern't here to enjoy it, but you will be next time. xxxxxxxx

Happy Birthday buddy. Leigh called the blog to my attention because she couldn't understand half of what Becky wrote. Sounds like a lot of fun. Take care Nick, Leigh, Xander.
